Agadir Al Massira airport: landing, getting out and reaching your hotel

Agadir Al Massira airport, code AGA, is 25 km south-east of Agadir city centre, on the road to Taroudant. It is the only airport in the Souss region and the gateway to Taghazout, Tamraght, Taroudant, Tiznit and the coast up to Essaouira.

This page gathers what you need to know on arrival: where drivers wait, how long it takes to get out, the options for reaching the city and what each journey costs.

Where is Al Massira airport?

The airport sits in the Souss plain, between Aït Melloul and Temsia, 25 km from the Agadir seafront. You reach the city by the N10 road and then the ring road, in 30 minutes outside rush hour.

Taghazout is 45 km away (50 minutes), Taroudant 60 km (55 minutes), Tiznit 90 km, Essaouira 185 km and Marrakech 250 km by motorway.

What happens on arrival?

After landing, you go through passport control and then baggage reclaim. Allow 30 to 45 minutes between leaving the aircraft and the public hall, a little more when several flights land at the same time.

The arrivals hall opens directly onto the forecourt where grand taxis and shuttles wait. Private drivers wait inside, sign in hand.

Where does the Taxi4you driver wait?

In the public arrivals hall, right after the customs exit, with a Taxi4you sign bearing your name. There is only one terminal, so you cannot miss it.

The driver tracks your flight using the number given at booking. He arrives for the actual landing time and waits up to 60 minutes at no extra cost. If you cannot see him, a WhatsApp message to +212 661 576 343 is enough.

How do you get to Agadir from the airport?

Three options. A private transfer booked in advance: from 18 € per vehicle for 4 people, fixed price, drop-off at the exact address, payment to the driver.

A grand taxi at the exit: 150 to 200 MAD by day to the city centre, 200 MAD after 7 pm, around 350 MAD to Taghazout. The price is negotiated before you get in, 6 seats, no child seat.

The Alsa bus line 37: a few dirhams per person to Inezgane bus station, then a second bus or a taxi to Agadir. Allow 1 h 30 to 2 h, and there is no bus at night.

And for the journey back to the airport?

Allow 3 hours before take-off plus the driving time from your hotel. The driver collects you at the address given, at the agreed time, and drops you in front of the departures hall.

A return on its own costs the same as the outbound trip. A round trip is booked in one go, with two journeys tracked separately.

Is the airport served at night?

Night flights are common in high season. Taxi4you drivers are available 24 hours a day with no night surcharge. A grand taxi is still possible but costs more after 7 pm, and the bus does not run.
